1. Summary

• This website uses no cookies and no tracking – no analytics tools and no advertising networks.
• Fonts and images are served from our own server. Visiting the site does not connect your browser to Google, YouTube or Instagram.
• Technically necessary data (such as your IP address) is processed by our hosting provider Cloudflare to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

The controller is based in the USA. Data you send us (for example by email) is therefore processed in the USA.

3. Hosting and delivery (Cloudflare)

This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages). The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare runs a global server network and delivers the site from the location nearest to you.

When you visit the website, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular:

• the IP address of the requesting device,
• date and time of access,
• the page or file requested,
• browser type, operating system and, where applicable, the previously visited page (referrer).

This processing serves the secure and stable delivery of the website and protection against attacks (e.g. DDoS). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing the website in a technically flawless and secure way. We do not analyse this data ourselves or combine it with other data.

Data may be transferred to the USA. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). More information: Cloudflare privacy policy.

4. No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and stores no information on your device beyond what is technically required to display the page (Section 25(2) TDDDG). No analytics, tracking or advertising services are used, so no cookie banner is needed. The language switch (German/English) works with plain links and stores nothing on your device.

5. YouTube videos and channel figures

The home page shows Nele Ganz’s latest video and selected videos with title and thumbnail, as well as the channel’s current number of subscribers, views and videos. To do this, our server at Cloudflare regularly retrieves the publicly available video list, the public channel statistics (via the YouTube Data API of Google Ireland Limited) and the thumbnails from YouTube and serves them from our own domain.

Your browser does not connect to YouTube or Google in the process; no data about you is sent to YouTube. No YouTube players are embedded.

6. Links to YouTube and Instagram

This website contains plain links to Nele Ganz’s profiles on YouTube and Instagram. Only when you click such a link are you taken to the respective provider, whose privacy policy then applies:

7. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your email address, your name (if provided) and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

Our mailbox is operated by Zoho Corporation B.V., Beneluxlaan 4B, 3527 HT Utrecht, the Netherlands, using data centres in the EU (processing on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR). There is no contact form on this website.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose. We delete email enquiries once they have been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial or tax law) apply. According to Cloudflare, connection data is kept only as long as necessary for operation and security.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights towards us:

• access to your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
• erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR),
• withdrawal of any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. An informal email to [email protected] is sufficient.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

11. Security

The website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS connections.

12. Changes and language versions

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies. In case of doubt, the German version prevails.
